- The proposal would retain much of the Grand Appartement, & the recently built Pavillion Gabriel.
- A formal new forecourt would be created to the east, & a new sequence of entry stairs & halls.
- A new domed salon at the centre of the château, (inspired by the Pantheon), would lead from the Grande Galerie to a new throne room.
